What's the point of running up the score? Some teams cap it at 19 or 20 if it's a blowout.
If the starters are still in and running up the score, that would be bush league. But if a team clears its bench and the back-ups are still running it up, there is not much you can do. Some kids get very limited game time, so it's hard to tell them they need to burn clock and not shoot when they finally do get into a game. and don't forget that once a game is out of reach, the losing team probably clears their own bench, which makes it even harder for the winning team to keep the score down.
