Agree. And the peer group, self-confidence, enjoyment, values etc.

Yeah the ones who love to go public largely don’t have any poor people in their neighborhoods so the public becomes a Beverly Hills High on 90210 type thing. Or Pacific Palisades.

not true now, all rich, powerful and influential people, along with all legacies and athletic recruits are required to attend private schools. that's how we know all admissions from private schools are hooked and all admissions from public schools are not.
Why is that? Has FCPS really declined that much?

A lot of places do not have good public school systems. Fairfax Co Schools were very strong.

Well, if I couldn't afford it, all the remaining reasons wouldn't matter eh? I honestly don't really care where my kid goes to college because I know they will be well rounded, hard workers, and very well educated. It's a privilege to not care, I recognize that. But fundamentally, they aren't relying on college placement to leverage them into some new social strat or position them for jobs in a good industry. Our generation already did that.
