Actually there was only one person bashing any school and that was the anti-NCS poster. I just reread the the posts and there is a crazy anti-NCS poster all throughout the thread.
Anyway we are at NCS and happy but have lots of friends at other schools and they are also happy at those schools. School ranking is based on what is best for your daughter and family. Good luck.

I think it wasn't about the school itself, but rather the force, frequency and tone of the NCS booster in this thread, and in two other threads in which she similarly boosted STA and disparaged others. The insecurity was palpable.
Something seems off with you actually. I posted just once on this thread about NCS and you attacked my post and accused me of being the previous NCS poster (whch I was not). Maybe the problem is you and your wrong assumptions?

Have you visited NCS or spoken to HONEST parents with girls currently at that school? I have. and they all tell me to RUN to from NCS.
I don’t buy this. My DD is heading to NCS next year and we have a tons of friends with girls there (we are BVR family). Nobody has anything bad to say about the school at all. If it takes some of the best and brightest girls the average is quite high. When we toured they basically told us that all girls are above average and therefore are given above average assignments. I am sure the school has its flaws like all places do, but highly doubt parents/kids are running away from it. I actually heard of several BVR girls that were turned down from early admission so they are clearly not hurting for admission.
It’s not true except the right wing families - yes they don’t like the diversity there. They try to thinly veil their complaints but that’s really the issue they don’t like the diversity or that it’s not clubby enough.
Wow. There isn’t much diversity there to dislike.
