The moral of the story is don’t have children unless you are two married law partners in offices on K St NW or the grandparents are so wealthy that they can foot the bill. Everyone else, bye.

Or you can send your kids to public school like 90% of American families.

Then they might mix with the Poors. God forbid my darling little princess start dating a middle class minority- that would be too scandalous to even consider.

Then why aren’t you teaching public school if you need such a huge raise? Don’t you know that public schools pay teachers more?

Also, what makes you think that public school kids are poor? Have you ever been in a public school building?

Odd post.

Sidwell (includes lunch) $55,140
GDS (doesn’t include lunch) $51k
Maret (includes lunch) $46,230
Potomac $48,988 (lunch?)
NCS (includes lunch) $53,208

Thanks OP.

I thought GDS was the most overpriced school in DC and this proves it.

Nah, that honor goes to Field. They’ve got the pay but don’t attend model down like nobody else.

My kids are in middle school but I also don’t worry about us to be able to foot the bill for the rest of their K-12 private plus college.
My DC is graduating this year, so it’s not my problem anymore. How about yours?

Sidwell hasn’t published its 2024-25 tuition on its website. How do you know it will be lower than Bullis?

This certainly seems to make Anselm’s look like a great deal for students with the right academic ability and a good fit for the school. I wonder if there’s a girls equivalent with lower price/higher quality dynamic?

After that, probably Potomac in the next price category and STA/NCS in the highest.

Anonymous wrote:I think I read for SSSAS that lunch is extra for K-8 but cannot find anything about upper school lunch. Is it not included? I know they have a new cafeteria space opening up next year. Wondering if any current SSSAS upper school parents can chime in on that? I know it seems ridiculous to even consider whether lunch is included, but every little bit matters sometimes! It's a big deal to us.

Email today from the SSSAS US head confirmed that lunch service ($1300) will be included in the tuition next year for every student. A little annoying since my picky eater will always pack lunch, but we knew this when we enrolled.

You’re all even nuttier than I thought. Going on and on about lunch? Lunch or no lunch, these tuitions are insane. You’re all suckers.
