Cool how you emerged from your hole to insult someone from a thread more than a year old.

Life must really be working out well for you!

We are good friends with our neighborhoods. They have many friends specific to a hobby of theirs. They will have parties inviting this group. Having us over would just be awkward both ways.

Terrible advice. OP already came across as desperate and try-hard with her comment about not being invited. A dinner invite just exacerbates OPs desperation to be friends with neighbor.

Saying you guess you didn’t make the cut is just a way to say I’m disappointed to not be included. It’s rude to talk about it in front of those not invited as well as post all the photos on social media for everyone not invited to see what a great time they missed. No people aren’t owed invitations but try to have some sensitivity folks.

Bothers me even more because it looks like we're the rude ones. Table and chairs near our driveway.

I live on the cul de sac. I would be so happy if others in the community would throw community cul de sac potlucks for the whole neighborhood.

Apparently the whole neighborhood isn't invited thought. And it's rude af to coopt someone else's cul-de-sac and not invite all the people on that cul-de-sac. And I'd tell the hosts that.

The neighbor in OP's post was rude af too. Not for the lack of invite. But for throwing it in her face. As someone else said, that's why we don't have our kids disseminate party invites in school. Adults should know better.
