Op, your DH is showering right. You people who just rinse are probably the stinky ones in public that don’t realize how bad they smell.
10 minutes in the shower is a a slap in the face of everyone struggling to meet their water needs. Holy cow.
That's dumb. I'm not taking water away from people in Africa or wherever when I take a long shower. Water scarcity isn't really a thing for those of us living east of the Mississippi.

It's selfish is all.
Last time I checked, the water supply in Arlington is in no way attached to the water supply of any city in Mississippi. And Jackson Mississippi isn't suffering from a water shortage, it's suffering from government mismanagement of its infrastructure. My taking a long shower makes no difference to their situation.
Still wasteful.

We don't live on a submarine, either. Your dad's experience as a submariner isn't relevant to those of us living in areas where there's plenty of water (and sometimes too much, when we get flooding).
The water you use to shower isn't "wasted". It's treated and goes back into the water supply.
You're really justifying your 10 minute shower. Why?

I don't think you're weird per se but your husband is showering better. Especially with the feet. Gross. Wash your feet.
