Musk didn’t invent any tech. He bought Tesla from the original inventors.

Not everyone will turn them in because Musk is trying to be the next Twitler. I'm sure most are embarrassed to drive them though (and I'm laughing at the idiots who can't start their cars when their phones die!)

People who buy them now are definitely supporting his racist, sexist and chauvinistic agenda though. Musk was a rich kid from South Africa during apartheid. There are some skeletons there.

You don’t have to use your phone, there is a keycard.

I feel about buying a Tesla the same way the Jewish community felt about buying cars from Henry Ford back in the mid 20th century. Just not going to do it and will find another option.

Musk is an idiot. And I hate Teslas and all EVs. Having said that we all have to get over this notion of only buying things that completely conform to our political views. That should not enter into the picture at all.

Why?

+1. Also, what have EVs done to hurt you?

EVs suck and what do you think powers the charging station that charges EVs? That’s right - fossil fuels.

This argument is becoming obsolete. Around 60% of power generated in California is not from fossil fuels, and that portion is increasing rapidly every year.

Yes. It's also a dumb argument because it ignores the benefits of local noise and air pollution reduction.

Liberals finding new excuses not to buy electric cars is sadly hilarious.

But entirely predictable. These same good people are no doubt purging their Harry Potter books.

And bragging about that too

So you were a sucker and bought a Tesla for the sake of your image. Now you want to ditch this particular luxury car because you believe it no longer signals the appropriate virtues to your friends. Cool story, but you already helped Musk get rich.

Musk is single-handedly saving the planet!
