I realized I have never seen her in so many pant suits - maybe it's bc she knows she will be surrounded by press and doesn't want any wardrobe malfunctions (skirt blowing up, legs crossing, etc)?
This is it.
Plus, she's not 25 anymore. She's smart to play it safe, plus it's freezing in Boston.

Because it is more important to her and her family that she be "appropriate" and represent the BRF in a restrained and conservative way, than to be stylish and make news with her clothes. Like Hillary Clinton, she is more interested in doing her job well than in exciting you with her clothes. There are many, many actresses and socialites and influencers and models who would be thrilled to have you look at each of their outfits and buy the clothes they are wearing and get excited about their style. An entire industry revolves around this. Kate is not a part of that industry and has a different job that is not actually about being a fashion plate and she wants to do that job well, which means no exciting fashion. Ever. She can wear very pretty evening gowns when appropriate, but otherwise it's conservative suits and matching hats and classic colors and prints forever. It's part of the gig, it's her literal job.
But she looked better last week. The sudden change in the US looks so (mis)calculated.
In what way? The problem is that you think her goal in the US is to land in fashion magazines and garner more American fans, or to compete with MM. Kate doesn't care about any of that and neither does the BRF.
Her goal is to support her husband as future monarch, maintain a positive relationship with a foreign power that is also a close ally, and to demonstrate the BRF's interest in charitable good works. That's it. None of that requires a stylish wardrobe. It requires her to look appropriate, say the right things, and avoid any scandal or controversy. Thus: tailored suits in muted colors, conservative dresses, non-flashy accessories, impeccably styled hair and makeup that are consistent with the way people expect her to look (nothing exciting, no new directions, no suprises).
Their last foreign trip was pretty terrible and garnered a ton of bad press at a time when the BRF was already fielding accusations of racism. And this trip comes during a scandal involving racist behavior from one of QEII's old ladies in waiting, as well as potential accusations of racist behavior coming out of Harry's book or the new Netflix documentary. The calculation here is: DO NOT MAKE WAVES. That's what she's doing.

I really think she looked better with a bit more weight on her. It’s easy to start looking gaunt at this weight, which is aging.
Fine, but why the call for Hillary's "style"? Pls don't say they just decided two days ago that she should adopt this look to be more queen-in-waiting look. The 100 year old monarch figured out how to do it. Kate has much much much more to work with and should dress better than Hillary and Liz.

She wanted to pull a Meghan Markle but failed.
Just stop with the hate. No one wants to be Meghan Markle or look like her.
Kate is sublime and looks fabulous; she’s a credit to her crown and country, her clothes are stunning and her behavior and demeanor impeccable. She needs nothing from anyone.
It took you long enough but you got here. No one but you is staring in their mirror hating themselves every day because they don't like like hardfaced Kate.
Meh. She’s glorious and everyone hates her because she’s a rich rich white woman. Kates face looks great. Post your pic here and see how fast you get eaten alive by the hoi polloi. She has withstood more slurs, Bullying, hatred, cattiness, nastiness and worse than anyone on the world stage. And she is stronger in one pinky than anyone can imagine. Haters keep on hating!!

I have many friends who had her body type in college with rounder cheeks but still slim who are downright Audrey Hepburn level slim after kids. They’re always on the go and on top of being disciplined it’s a body type.
Queen Letizia of Spain is the same except for the mega buff arms which is from working out.
So you’re not supposed to body shame fatties right???? STOP body shaming skinnies!!!! Mind your own business.
She absolutely 100% does have an eating disorder. I knew her at university and she was significantly larger. She doesn’t eat now, and likely does extreme exercise.

I can’t believe the media isn’t talking about her eating disorder.
