Why isn’t it a rule for students to vote (absentee if they must) where their official primary residence is not where their college dorms/apartments are? Especially if they are still considered a dependent on their parents’ taxes.

When we have voter suppression like Cleta Mitchell is plotting with the GOP for 2024, the democrats don't win.
Maybe the GOP would be more appealing if they didn't have an agenda based on rage, fear and blaming others while castigating people of color, women and LGBTQ+.

+1 79% of the silent generation are non-Hispanic whites. For Gen Z that number is 51%.

By and large young individuals who are not white both the least sooooo the point of the video is if you don't vote. These are the people that are going to decide elections and they likely do not have the same interests that you do.

It’s not accurate. It’s intentionally misleading. There are plenty of old white folks that marched in the civil rights era and there are also plenty of young people who are trumpers. And they are certainly not all white.
And there are plenty of old white folks who are trumpers, which makes this video accurate. It is not saying they represent all of that demographic.

It’s not intentionally misleading, it’s statistics. Statistically speaking boomers are older, whiter and vote more conservative. That’s a fact. The boomers in my life are a little pocket of liberals, but they and I both understand that statistically speaking, that’s not the norm.
Please try to understand what I am trying to say. Statistics would be if they included a single Asian or Hispanic old person. Intentionally misleading is when they only show white people. I work in media and video production. It was an intentional decision to only feature white people. That is called stereotyping. It’s the same thing as fox featuring non stop stories of inner city violence. It’s propaganda and it’s needlessly divisive. Would the video have been any less effective if they included an Asian or Hispanic amongst the white folk? No. But it sure would have been more accurate.

Yes, it does bring me comfort to know that eventually the winds of change will bring change, and most likely, eventually we WILL have sensible gun legislation and eventual reinstatement of federal protection of abortion because younger generations will have had enough. No amount of gerrymandering will be able to change how our younger generations will vote as they get older.
The voters will have the last say in the end no matter how much the old, grouchy MAGA folks think they will win. Racist old people who grew up in a less tolerant, more racist era can't vote from the grave.
