Incorrect. My family has job security and my parents' pension covers their COL.
Okay that's one data point. My entire company is based in the EU. I get paid way more, of course I pay for health insurance and other items. They are still financially stressed. They do not have pension (we work for the same company) and we both have job security. They ALL live near town centers and walk. Four do not have cars or and two do not have licenses in their 40s.
Diet and drinking wise we seem to be similar, but they walk a ton more than I do.
