There was something about this incident that set it apart from other incidents. Corden acted way out of proportion to the mix up. So much so that they had to ban him. I'm sure this restaurant is no stranger to arrogant asses who expect perfection, but those people aren't getting banned as a consequence.

You seriously think a waitress doesn't have the ability to say, "Let me take that back for you"? Are you serious? This is part of the job -- being able to speak to customers and represent the restaurant.

And she's not a minimum wage worker. She works for tips.

I just find the whole thing weird. The restaurant messed up the order not once, but twice. I'd say that's annoying. He says he made a snarky comment, owner says it's the worst a guest has ever treated staff. There is a massive gulf between those two poles.

How big a fit did he throw?
Did the restaurant try to do enough to make up for messing up order twice?

Are you familiar with the concept of not kicking down? The server was apologetic and Corden was an ass. Then the replacement order had potatoes instead of salad and Corden was an ass about that, too.

When a restaurant screws up, it owes you a corrected order. A lot of them will throw in freebies, too, as a gesture of goodwill, but Corden had already demanded those (why? He can afford to pay for drinks). If it screws up again, it needs to keep trying until it gets things right. But as long as employees are making a good faith effort to fix things, why be a douche? What does that achieve?


Well, yes. You make it sound like, they gave him a free dessert and he was an ass about that, too. No, they messed up his order -- twice.

I was a waitress for years when I was young. A manager would have comped his check or given him something for free right away if a waitress or the kitchen messed up the replacement order. Good grief, your standards are low. Where do you eat, McDonalds?


That still doesn't excuse rudeness. It's even rude at McDonalds to be an ass when someone gets your order wrong. A hissy fit is never required for food when it's not the last meal you'll ever eat. Do you think the more you pay the bigger your sense of entitlement and ego get to be?

Totally agree if I am allergic to all nuts except pine nuts, no way am I ordering the salmon in pinenut crust even if restaurant swears to me it is only only pine nuts and for sure no other nuts mixed in. Would never order part of egg if allergic in any manner. Cordon has made this story fo on longer than it needed to. Should have apologized from get go and say he’s human and probably everyone would have moved on to just focus on Kanye. Cordon kept himself in news. He needs new PR if he’s taking advice.
