Agree-that your “rock bottom” is a girls night with your friends is really concerning to me. I find I am a much better parent when I have a little something for myself in addition to what I do with the kids.

My mom was a martyr. It made me not want to have kids for most of my life. When I did have kids I stopped at one and prioritized time for myself, my relationship and my career as much as I could while still being a warm and loving mom.
