I know many, mannnnnnnny UD grads who have gone one to do very, very well for themselves.
+1
The Delaware alums I know are impressive. I don’t know why it isn’t talked about more here, especially as an engineering option.
It’s not an instate option for most of DCUM (doesn’t seem like Delaware is particularly represented) and the sports teams aren’t nationally ranked in anything.
The campus is fine and Newark is fine…but nothing incredible.
Just explaining why it isn’t talked about here more.

We just visited and really liked it. Much nicer than UMD.
Ditto this. College Park is just really depressing (IMO).
UDel feels like a real college.
Don't jump on me. This is my opinion only.
Strange take to me.
UMD > UDel, and if you are from in state, the cost of UMD is so much cheaper than oos UDel which again, is not as well regarded as UMD.
So, you would pay $$$ for an inferior school just so that your kid can experience being oos? It's not like Del is that different from MD.
It's a tiny no nothing state, other than Biden is from there. At least at UMD you are close to DC metro where there are more job and internship opportunities, and things to do.
Not a plus. Dude just got told to sit down and shut up so we can install another candidate. He rolled over like the coward he is. I'm sure Delaware is a fine enough school but name Joe Flacco as an accomplished alumni, not the other idiot.
Considering only 46 people in the nation’s history have ever been elected President…and you are an absolute nobody that no one would care less if you were hit by a bus today…well enough said.
