Dem here. What is so shady about it? If we’re playing “the lesser of two evils,” Sullivan wins in my book. My favorite candidate in the Democratic primaries lost, and so I’m going with my plan B.

I think he'll easily get 30 to 35% of the vote this year.
Similar to the percentage of voters that voted for Ficker and Floreen combined in 2018. That seems highly unlikely - Floreen was at least within the mainstream even if she didn't have a huge base of support. Sully is not mainstream, he thinks MCPS is teaching "graphic sexual material" to students. The material on his website is extremely poorly written, which tells me he has very little money to pay for people to help him. Remember, most voters don't even pay attention to local races, so they will just vote for the Democrat. And with the current state of the Republican party, I mean hell no. I don't vote for traitors and Nazi-sympathizers.
I left the Republican party (a while ago) because I did not belong in the same party as antisemitic, racist and Nazi sympathizers. But not everybody in the republican party is that. There are extremists in the Democratic Party too. Personally I think it is a detriment to our county, state and country to not pay attention to politicians and their platforms and to vote straight party tickets. I wish citizens would wake up and pay even a little bit of attention. This is why our country is so extreme and divided with our politicians. I think most people are somewhere in the middle with crossover beliefs both ways.
Really? You think voting for Sully is an informed choice? It doesn't take much time looking at his website to realize there isn'tuch substance there and there is a bit of crazy.
I looked at his website and I agree with his campaign priorities so he will get my vote. Don't care that he is R.

I’m a moderate, but vote Democrat 80-90% of the time. Sullivan has my support. Elrich has proven to be bad for the county, and I would rather shake things up with some fresh ideas. There will still be a progressive council. I’ve seen Sullivan’s website and, while I’m not thrilled with the CRT reference, I like what I see elsewhere. I want somebody to address crime, and I know Elrich won’t do that.
What is Sully's plan to address crime? Spoiler alert! He doesn't have one. All he does is complain about how terrible a job the incumbents have done.
What’s Elrich’s plan?
Once again, you can't justify voting for Sully based on Elrich's shortcomings. You don't like Elrich? Fine, don't vote for him. But don't pretend that Sully is a competent alternative. He's not.
I love how you are deflecting.
What is Elrich’s plan? Crime is up under his administration. What is he going to do to bring it down?
Lol nice try. Go-ahead, vote for Sully, clearly that is what you want. He will.llse so badly because he has no real platform apart from being anti everything.
