Actually, all 3 were bad candidates, and if we had anyone decent running, they could have creamed all of them:
-Reimer is a liar who spent 12 years on the Council and then claimed he needed to be CE to get stuff done (hello, what have you been doing for 12 years?)
-Elrich, while a nice guy, is ineffective (the Council hates him because they need to keep on with the give-aways to developers who keep getting them elected)
-Blair, trying once again to buy MoCo, and, has ZERO governing experience. We (well, not MoCo) put a business guy in the white house for 4 years to "change things up," and look where that got us. Plus, Blair is friends with all those developers, and while we absolutely need affordable housing, giving tax breaks to wealthy developers is not the way to get affordable housing (see Bethesda, North Bethesda, which is building like gangbusters and no affordable housing to be found)
Whichever of the 3 morons wins, I will vote for them, but I won't really be voting FOR any of them, I will be voting AGAINST the GOP candidate.
I know “Republican” is a bad word, and I suspect many people on this site won’t consider anyone with an “R” next to their name. I suspect, however, that there are people who may be interested in Sullivan’s take on certain issues:

No, only 30-38% voted for Blair, marginally less than those who voted for Elrich.

That person in the bee costume showed up to a press conference where Elrch was announcing the county is giving up two parking lots in downtown Bethesda to build apartment buildings, which is kind of ridiculous.
Elrich doesn’t want to do a lot of giveaways to developers. Whether you see that as a good thing because it slows the rate of growth in the county or you think it’s bad because it slows the rate of growth in the county limiting housing supply and keeping prices high is a matter of opinion/POV.
