Another woke criminal justice reform policy in action.
I feel less safe allowing fast azz drivers to basically speed with impunity, but I’m glad we can virtue signal on this and the city council can pay itself on the back for equity or whatever the fk this is.
Next up is taking the age for the youth rehab act to cover up to 45, letting go of 90% of police officers (defund!) and letting shoplifting happen because it’s only fair.
And if you complain about it you are a gentrifying piece of sht who should move to Arlington.
This is kind of like how when kids were lighting leaves on fire under peoples cars in his neighborhood, Charles Allen blamed the city for not collecting leaves quickly enough.
Don’t worry guys, it’s definitely not stuff like this leads to Republican victories nationwide.
What she said!

It’s gotten out of hand where I live with the atvs, loud engines and the terrible, terrible music at deafening volumes! I just heard a car go by blasting that song they play at weddings..to the left, to the left! To the right to the right! The next car was even louder, with go go music.
This would definitely be considered racist enforcement.

Or the threshold for felony shoplifting is raised to $950 in California which caused even more shoplifting and stores to close in response which actually made places worse off.
459.5. (a) Notwithstanding Section 459, shoplifting is defined as entering a commercial establishment with intent to commit larceny while that establishment is open during regular business hours, where the value of the property that is taken or intended to be taken does not exceed nine hundred fifty dollars ($950). Any other entry into a commercial establishment with intent to commit larceny is burglary. Shoplifting shall be punished as a misdemeanor, except that a person with one or more prior convictions for an offense specified in clause (iv) of subparagraph (C) of paragraph (2) of subdivision (e) of Section 667 or for an offense requiring registration pursuant to subdivision (c) of Section 290 may be punished pursuant to subdivision (h) of Section 1170.
(b) Any act of shoplifting as defined in subdivision (a) shall be charged as shoplifting. No person who is charged with shoplifting may also be charged with burglary or theft of the same property.

Instead taxpayers basically take a backseat as progressives experiment with novel, but ineffective ways reduce crime and to reform criminal justice policy. I am pissed because I am from this city and I know how bad it was in the 80’s and 90’s.

Liar. You go find me a camera that still tickets a car after stopping behind the white line for 7 seconds as you say. You're just another crappy driver who just rolls through the intersection without stopping and then makes up stores about why it's not your fault.

Apparently DC will still enforce parking tickets but is likely to double-down on ticketing efforts downtown, in Ward 3, Georgetown, and in other more affluent areas.
Of course they are. What a bunch of sht. It’s so annoying living in a “progressive” city sometimes. Lower the bar and allow crime for some, while punishing those who are less likely to commit crimes. The best part is that there are never any less progressive options. No matter what we just keep letting people speed or ride atvs, or not lose their license, or hide they’re criminal records and allow repeat offenders out or not incarcerate at all, or blame basically anything except the actual perpetrator of crime.
