I hear Pride’s starting 11 were all offered a spot on Blue.
That sounds right. If the predicted makeup was 50% Pride and 50% BLC / Stars / Metro / others, that fits with last year.
CLC should have to pay these clubs a fee for poaching all there top players. Without these clubs developing players, CLC wouldn’t exist. You have to love free markets.

Every girl on the team who got recruited did so completely on their own with zero support from the club. Time will tell whether they are able to improve their terrible recruiting record and the only thing that's certain is KMG will strip mine your bank account with little in return.
This is not true. Check the website. Losers focus on winners, winners focus on winning.
It shows 9 out of 46 girls commits for 2023s.
It shows 11 2022s commited.
So your point is?

At the very least, HS grades and test scores are very important for girls lacrosse recruitment at the top schools, which are also the most competitive in lacrosse. Keep in mind that it’s not a revenue sport. The colleges want to be competitive but also maintain admission standards.
A lot of M&D girls go to top privates like McDonough, Gilman, St Paul’s and Glenelg Country School, so I’m not sure what the issue is. But I suspect that a lot of poor recruiting outcomes come down to poor HS grades.

Those girls could've not showed up and still would've made the roster. The orange team was what the tryout was for. Agree that it should've been spread out amongst a few days instead of just one. My older daughter played for Capital but it was nowhere this crazy or competitive as it is now. I think the 26 year may be the strongest in terms of how many talented girls there are in the DMV. 2024s, 2025s and 2027s are just different. Pockets of strong teams, but this year is LOADED. Haven't seen this much talent in awhile and and it is difficult for these girls to realize that if they don't make it, it doesn't mean they aren't a strong player. The DMV is too big to have one strong team. I blame the catiness of the middle school programs and the low skill development. All about the $$$$ Low turnover in Baltimore bc they stick together and are managed properly. It's a shame we can't have 2-3 ultra competitive teams in our area. Too much crazy and selfishness for that. Welcome to DC
Agreed 2026 is packed with talent. Heard a few girls that had left for Baltimore were back for Capital tryouts. Interesting to see if they will make the switch. I agree that this tryout was for the Orange team. The Orange team should be a great team considering the amount of talent at tryouts. The question will be will the girls who make Orange stay or go to Pride for that A team?
If they are serious about lacrosse they will go for Pride's A team. Even the Pride 25 A team that got decimated last year is much better than the CLC O 25 team. Who knows about the recruiting aspect? Pride has a new recruiting director, but time will tell if Pride does better on that front than previously.
The Pride 2025 Black team is #49 ranked. They have lost to several teams the CLC Orange 2025 has beat. The clubs ranked between 40 and 75 can beat each other depending on how the day goes, which players are present the quality of the goalies. So Pride Black is not necessarily better than CLC O. Plus down side to Pride is dealing with the KM crap. CLC placed 90% of its players last year in college programs. No other program places that number of girls at good schools. MCElite, Pride etc have no recruiting pipeline. Plus college coaches dont pick up the phone from KM.

Anonymous wrote:I wouldn’t choose MCE or Pride A over CLC O. The remaining players on those teams will be much weaker…the best on those teams are accepting offers from CLC B and O. CLC’s reputation goes much further.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Any 2026 turn down an orange team placement?
I am curious if anyone was specifically given an "alternate" offer? Or are they just making the way down the list? Not sure why anyone would turn down an Orange offer. Will be interesting to see what Pride girls will be left for tryouts on Thursday.

Everyone on this board knew that the Blue team would be made up of Stars and Pride. They deserved it. Not sure what all the surprise and frustration is about. Everyone else there was trying out for Orange and they knew that.
Does CLC prefer Pride players? Every year they take more and more of them.
I would imagine every year will depend on the talent. 27 will be majority BLC. 28 will be something else etc. But Pride, Stars (for now at least) and BLC will always have some representation.
