The meet and greet with Matt Frumin on Sunday, June 5th from 7-8pm on the front yard of 4519 Q St NW. The invite mentions that Frumin will talk about his plans for the new schools.

All candidates should meet with all groups, short of the KKK and the like. It doesn't mean support for them, nor don't support them, nor anything. They're politicians!

Duncan also posted directly on the Glover Park listserv that Glover Park families that walk to school will not need to drive to the new ES and that the border should be drawn from Mann/Key only.

I read it and have to hand it to the guy that he knows how to construct a position statement that takes so many positions that almost anybody can read it and find something that they agree (or disagree) with.
This is why I suggested writing to him. Push him on it directly.

No wonder he fits right in with the Foxhallers. There is a decided anti-public-school slant in that crowd. Not just indifference, but outright hostility. I've been to FCCA meetings where they openly talked about how horrible it would be to have a public school in the neighborhood. In the Working Group I remember one Foxhaller saying he didn't know anyone who sent their kids to public school.
I can attest to that. It one of the more recent meetings, one Foxhaller lamented in the chat that their dog park would become a “kid park”.

More foundationally, he doesn't understand that adding more middle school seats within the Jackson-Reed boundaries without a new high school blows the top off of Jackson-Reed. That's pretty basic.
