She's everything DCUM says a woman should be.

By “self made,” you mean “came from a wealthy family and then had a years-long affair with Larry Summers.” Larry and his connections and introductions are the long and short of why she is where she is, but you won’t read that tip in “Lean In.”

Okay, his connections got her jobs at Google and Facebook. But she worked those jobs for 20 years. What's wrong with that?

+1. There is so much misogyny on this thread. Just because a woman has a mentor does not mean she slept with him. I know the circles Sheryl Sandberg ran in while she was in DC and never heard anyone mention an affair with Larry Summers. She’s been a high level executive for decades and yet anonymous DCUMers want to attribute it to sleeping up.

Hmm, you definitely weren’t close to those circles if you didn’t hear about her and Larry.

Anyway, I’ll bookmark this thread and bump it when the affair eventually comes to light. It could be as soon as next year. If she campaigns for Biden against Thiel’s candidate of choice, promotes abortion rights through a PAC, or makes some other move into politics, then she’ll come under attack. Leaking the affair will be the easiest way to undermine her for good and he will absolutely do it.

I think I’m closer to those circles that a malicious DCUMer. If you have proof post it now. But you have none so you just sling garbage at a woman who is infinitely more successful than you will ever be.
