JFC. I’m really familiar with this crazy market and am on record upthread as saying this was overpriced. I give up.

It’s 4000 sq ft. The avg new build is larger. So while I do feel like this home is a good size I wouldn’t describe it as large for Bethesda.

It was probably just an error.

Except the description notes " Price dropped to reflect current market value!"

Which makes no sense since the market/zillow value is higher than the price.

How goofy. The house personally gives me the heebie jeebies and I don't want to live there. Which is good, because my housing budget is less than half that price.

It’s pretty basic in real estate to target the house to buyers that can afford it and want this kind of neighborhood. All these apartment dwelling/ side walk living/ walkable types won’t be looking at this home anyway.

$200K price drop.

Neighborhood is attractive but no sidewalks. The upgrades are not great.

It seems like you are seeing hate around every corner. Not everyone is as bad as you think. There are good people out in the world.

Strange comment, since PP's observation was specifically addressing one previous commenter's (weird) remark, not society in general.

But since you raised it, it's probably correct to say that not everyone (and not everyone on DCUM) is as good as they like to think they are.

The agent/flippers listened. The power of DCUM.

Oh come on! You think DCUM had anything to do with it? You give way too much power and weight to this place. The vast, vast majority of people in the DMV have never even heard of DCUM.

Well, it was sold for 1.5M in 2020....I mean come on, they did not invest much at all.

Assume they renewed everything inside and maybe add new windows. How much did they spend plug interest on a loan? $500 to $700K?
