NOVA truly is the:
- land of “what do you do for a living?”

It's actually quite amusing to observe.
True, but have you ever watched a Marylander try to drive on the beltway? Scary sight to behold.
Seriously, there really isn’t a Maryland and a Virginia. There’s NOVA, and there’s Va Beach, and Richmond and then the rest of “country” VA. Then there’s Metro DC MD, there’s Baltimore, and there’s Annapolis, and there’s the rest of “country” MD. Country MD and Country VA are very similar as are metro DC MD and NOVA, and the DelMarVa peninsula is pretty much all the same. I suppose in NOVA they don’t have the crime like PG county or in Richmond they don’t have the crime like Baltimore … but then again Baltimore doesn’t have Klan rallies. So pick your regional area poison and live with it is the moral of this thread.
I've seen reckless drivers with MD tags and reckless drivers with VA tags on the Beltway. However, it does appear that the number of reckless drivers is higher along the PG stretch of the Beltway.

Many people would never live in a state as backwards as VA. Youngkin? Absolutely not.
Yeah, cram all democrats into a handful of acceptable states. Sounds smart. We would never have another democrat for president or anything but a majority republican senate and house if all democrats were as short sighted as you are. Democrats NEED liberals to live in “backwards” (lol) states like VA. SMH.

Exactly. And because the vast majority of private sector high wage jobs in this area are in Fairfax and because MoCo doesn’t want it’s residents to be able to easily travel between MoCo and Fairfax you can see how things are the way they are now and where they are going.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:It's been this way for years. MoCo is not business-friendly at all.
Heck, they just passed a new regulation requiring all restaurants, even the smallest corner deli, to offer a healthy kids meal option:

So? Any restaurant worth its salt should be able to easily figure out how to have a healthy kids option available.

Really? What inferiority complex? Because when I look at these threads I usually see VA posters let the data and facts around things like job growth speak for themselves, while many DC and especially MD posters sit around taking potshots with the maturity level and ignorance of a 10 year-old.
Seems like you might be projecting your own inferiority complex, PP.
What's the point of all these threads? So VA folks can feel good about themselves? Stick it to MoCo?
Inferiority complex
Again, I ask, why do VA people consistently compare *ONE* county in MD with the entire state of VA. That screams *insecure* to me. And I'm originally from out west.
They're not. They're mostly comparing Arlington/FFX/Alexandria and sometimes Loudoun/Prince William.
I mean do you want to include PG county in with Moco? I'm not sure it's a favorable comparison and it would make Maryland look even worse.
So, it's the whole NoVa Vs one county in MD.

We dont like greedy and bad business like Amazon and weapon makers in MoCo. We have big heart to welcome poor people. We hate room ch people like Dan Snyder.
Yet Dan Snyder lives in Potomac.
