This whole situation is laughable. I love the Notebook and for OP to say her situation is like the Notebook is silly.

You haven’t even met your boyfriend’s daughter and only dating 6 months. OP is delusional thinking both of these men want to marry her.

I’m not desperate to get married. I pointed out that they both want to marry me, so these two men aren’t just people that I’m dating but consider serious relationships. I know I don’t have to marry anyone.


And not to burst your bubble but saying you want to get married and the steps to get married are far different. I’m pretty sure every guy I have ever dated and was a boyfriend has told me he wanted to marry me at some point. When I was engaged to Dh, my ex also told me he wanted to marry me. He told me he wanted to marry me when we were dating too. My high school boyfriend said the same thing and we would daydream about it. We talked about how cute our kids would be.


It’s not bursting my bubble. I know this already.

I personally think 30 is too young to be a stepmom. It the second guy was the love of your life, absolutely. I would move on from both.

I’m now 43yo. My best friend wasted her prime good years going back to an ex. It was painful to watch. She then got married in haste and ended up divorced. She is now also 43 divorced and childless. Please don’t waste your prime reproductive years on a bad ex or a guy who isn’t right for you. Move on.
