I was not interested in the reporter or her story at all. I found her exasperating and annoying, and the (many, many) scenes where she groaned and knelt and clutched her pregnant belly were cringe-worthy. I wanted to forward through all of the boring scenes about the reporter and her backstory or her relationships with her husband and coworkers.

The story would have been better without her character.

Yes!! Totally agree - the constant grimacing and moaning when she wasn't even in labor. Seriously?? WAY overplayed.

I honestly loved it. The soundtrack, look/feel/energy, loved how stylized each episode was (although I agree 8 & 9 dragged compared to the first 7.) I also found it amazing how they somehow made me root for Anna in the end, but also obviously not. And how they made me like and sympathize for the "good person" Rachel but then also be totally annoyed with her. Complex characters and totally crazy that it's true (especially all the details like the jet??)

The writers in Scriberia were so helpful. Wish my coworkers actively tried to help me succeed like that!

They were a lazy plot device. Every time they opened their mouths to say "So when X happened Anna was doing Y" I rolled my eyes and thought "greattttttt more exposition." This miniseries needed an editor badly. It could have been 6 compelling episodes instead of 10 boring ones.

How were they likable? The lawyer and reporter were neurotic followers who blew up their family lives to help Anna. The reporter especially walked over everyone good in her life to chase the approval of a sociopath. I agree it was poor storytelling and irresponsible of Shonda Rhimes to glorify sociopathic and narcissistic behavior.

Why do all the likable characters (Neff, her lawyer, Anna Chlumsky, Kacy) end up in her corner? She was horrible to them - repeatedly verbally abusive - and of course a verified scam artist. Yes, it's intentional to show that she's a regular person, not in their wealthy orbit.

Tried watching it last night (episode 1). there's something grating about it and it's slow paced. I won't be watching.

Also, Stewy and Roman's GF from Succession as a couple is total cognitive dissonance!!!!

I don’t understand the casting either..and their mannerisms were extremely annoying, like they’re trying to act young. The trainer played by Laverne Cox looked younger to me than the Rachel character but was insulted by her bc she was hanging out with a bunch of 20 somethings. So dumb

Really can't stand the reporter. Just completely self-absorbed and righteous...pretending this is all about Anna but really it's her own reputation and ambition. Completely disregarded her family, journalistic ethics, and amazing friends in scriberia...

The Rachel character was so distracting. She looked so old next to the young girls, and the way she was trying to act “young” made the character look bizarre, not like a real 20-something. If you’d shown me just a few minutes of the series showing that actor and no context, I would have believed it was a drama about a group of young girls kindly spending time with their mentally challenged older friend.

Not a huge TV watcher and only saw the forum heading here with no idea what it was about. Stumbled in on the 2nd or 3rd episode and ended up being interested enough to finish watching it. Not great TV, definitely over acted and cringe worthy (and boring) at times. But for someone who only had a vague remembrance of the story several years ago, it was enough of a no brainer to entertain me while making out grocery lists and catching up on emails.

But even without knowing the other players and their stories, I kept wondering why in the world would that older woman Rachel be hanging around with them acting like a 13 year old going to see New Kids on the Block? Oh, because someone stupidly cast someone who looked like a sitcom mom.
