Jews want to be known as an individual race, per the 1800s Talmud.
Meanwhile the world thinks of race as skin color.
Same word, different definitions. Fun stuff.

Then how are people able to convert?
They’re not true Jews, jokes on them. No Jewish mother blood, not Jewish. Duh.
I’ll be sure to tell my friend who converted for her husband and who plan to raise their children in the faith. Converting isn’t real since it’s not a religion and instead a race![]()
Well I have a white friend who married an African American and raise their children in the African American culture (Kwanzaa, etc). That happens all the time with different races. It's called an interracial relationship.
Is she trying to pass for black? Did she convert to black?
Stop being pedantic. No one is denying that Judaism is also a religion. But you can’t convert your ethnicity to Jewish - only your religion
Of course you can. Ethnicity is the fact or state of belonging to a social group that has a common national or cultural tradition. Once you marry into a Jewish family and convert, you are ethnically Jewish. Maybe not from birth, but your ethnicity and cultural identity are now Jewish.

So its more complicated -- Ashkenazi and Sephardic are Jewish ethnicities. Technically all Races could be Jewish, but just as someone can be Hispanic and White or Hispanic and Black, so too can you be the Jewish ethnicities.
But to many, Jews aren't White....
Which makes no sense are all since the majority are Caucasian.
