I don't see why truckers need mandatory vaccines? They are riding alone in their cabs the bulk of the time.

When they unload their shipments the loading dock doors are open (fresh air) and usually there is maybe one or two workers in receiving up 60 feet apart.

My truckers would unload their own freight and then off they would go.

That’s the point of the truck rally. If 85% are vaccinated, but they are still protesting, clearly they are not protesting about vaccines but rather are protesting against government authority and over-control. This is what liberals just don’t get or wont admit and they’ll post vitriol against anyone who thinks differently than them.


The trucking industry in the US alone is heavily regulated. Look at our port situation in Long Beach.

I say let them convoy, convoy, convoy all they like. None of it will magically make COVID go away. Because, they are pointlessly pissing away a good $270 per day in fuel and other costs of running those rigs, which will soon begin to hurt financially.

They are fighting mandates - all of them. Masking, proof of vaccination and whatever else is out there, gathering limits and whatever else is out there.

One group gathered to protest in a Province that is already looking at lifting restrictions, and was before the convoy started.

I'm not sure how they plan to deal with the fact that even IF things are changed in Canada, they have to be vaccinated to get into the U.S.


Canada is EXTREMELY locked down compared to America. Businesses, schools etc. People have, quite reasonably, had enough.

There are quite a few mandates on truckers, like all of the prior requirements for a commercial driver's license, which include meeting quite a few other minimum health requirements, like:

  • 20/40 correctable vision in each eye

    No history or existing diabetic condition that requires insulin injections

    Ability to hear a forced whisper from at least five feet away in at least one ear

    No issues of high blood pressure

    Blood sugar levels are not above 200


    • Sounds like these CDL truck drivers are pretty healthy compared to the average US citizen. They aren't high risk.

    Additionally, the medical examiner will see if you have a history of the following:

  • Cardiac or respiratory issues

    Loss of hearing

    Dizziness or fainting

    Spinal cord injuries

    Stroke

    Brain or neurological disorders

    Epilepsy or seizures

    Digestive problems

    Chronic pain

    Psychiatric disorders

    Kidney disease

    Paralysis

    Sleep apnea


    • Your CDL medical exam will also check for any signs of drug or alcohol abuse. You must pass a DOT drug test in order to obtain your CDL medical card.

    So should we be rolling back all of those "authoritarian" requirements too? Stop requiring seat belts? Get rid of speed limits on the highways? Make stop signs and red lights optional?
