Let me say it again, it is absolutely none of your business how much OP or anyone else spends on clothing. Your inability to understand that your opinions do not dictate how others live probably translates to a job that does not allow you to afford the things that OP can.

system.
Is this how you make yourself feel okay about your excesses? Because someone is spending more than you, so it’s okay for you to use up that many resources, and annually? “We all have different perspectives, and that’s fine,” is weak and it’s the kind of crap pop psychology that has allowed antivax nonsense to spread covid far and wide, the kind of dingleberry nonsense that says overthrowing the government is a-okay, because the GOP just had a “different perspective” about who won the election? No.
So you spend between $20,000 and $100,000 on clothing a year probably travel quite a bit too, since that jumped up as your next reason why your excesses aren’t excessive. Honestly, I’m not sure how some of you live with yourselves knowing that a billion people live on less than the equivalent of a dollar a day around the world. That the amount of plastics in the environment exceeds the total mass of all mammals on the earth. That girls are still sold into marriage because their parents can’t afford school. That children right here in the US don’t have safe drinking water or safe housing. I give my relative paltry hundreds to charity because it’s the right thing to do. But you’re defending just absolutely appalling excess because others spend more? No wonder the earth is dying.

You and so many others on this thread are so judgmental and close-minded. Why are you even in this forum? You have no idea what anyone besides yourself and maybe your kids needs. It's OP's money and absolutely none of your business what she spends it on. I'm sure people would go through your expenses and judge you, too. I could easily afford to spend $100k a year on clothes (I don't spend anywhere near that), but if I did and it makes me happy, why is it any of your business? It's also in perspective. I don't think $20k for someone who makes or has a lot of money is outrageous, but we have plenty of money. It's like me thinking someone who flies private is frivolously spending, because first class is amazing - while the person who flies private thinks the one who owns their own jet is wasteful. We all have different perspectives, and that's fine. What's ridiculous is you thinking everyone else needs to live by your value system.

That’s just your opinion, isn’t it? You can shout it all you want but people will spend their money as they please, not in fear of your judgement.
Ultimately, judgment comes for us all. I’ll meet my end someday, peaceful that I tried to live in harmony with the world.

+1. When the supply chain totally breaks down, I'm heeding the "eat the rich" advice.
