And wherever Black folks are, or Hispanics, or Asians....

I honestly think you only feel pleasure when wallowing in discussions of racism 24/7. You'll never get what you're looking for, though.

It would be a quick conversation if you agreed it existed and we should do something to address it.

It’s going to take a long time if people want to pretend it doesn’t exist in a meaningful way. Or if they are perfectly fine with status quo.

DP. And how do you propose "addressing it"? Telling people they're intrinsically racist? No thanks.

That is an excellent conversation we should have. Are we all agreeing now that racism is an issue in VA and needs to be addressed?

Lots of people have agreed that it is an issue in every state and have asked how you would like to address it, but you have not responded. What are your ideas for effective ways to address it?

That is a much deeper discussion.

Just wanted to know if Youngkin voters would acknowledge that racism is an issue in VA. And if they think it should be addressed in some way (not committing to specific changes).

Do you think we should try to change any of that? Or are things ok as they are?

Things are actually pretty damn great as they are, minus the Covid situation.

Got it. So you think status quo is acceptable?

That’s not what you asked.

Do you think we should change anything?

Do you think status quo is acceptable?

Are you the OP? If so, I encourage to avoid speaking in vague generalities. It is entirely pointless which is why people keep commenting on the idiocy of this thread. I think that you will get better results if you can articulate the policies and institutions where you have specific concerns.

It’s valuable to acknowledge there is a problem. Sorry, you can’t see that.

Quite the opposite; however, I have no idea what problem you are referring to.

The opposite? You think it's valuable NOT to acknowledge there is a problem?

1. Republicans aren't "half the country".

2. This thread isn't accusing Rs of being racist - just asking them to share their thoughts.

DP. Your oh-so-innocent, deliberately obtuse act is not cute. You are not clever. You're just an annoying, sanctimonious twit who is taking up space. Run along.

Wow - such a bitter response to facts. I wonder why....

I'm not seeing any facts in your posts. None. Just sweeping generalizations about your feelings.

Fact #1 - Republicans aren't "half the country".

Fact #2 - go read the OP - I didn't call Rs racist.

Republicans are indeed half the country. Weren't you aware?

That doesn't include Independents. Or the 1/3rd of Americans who are eligible to vote but "did not vote" in 2020.

This breaks out D vs. R vs. I:

And to show the scale of "Did Not Vote":

What do you mean, exactly? Write it out so everyone can see. You know, show, don’t tell.

So who cares what her race is if she’s just a POS Republican.

So the election of the first black female LTG in the Commonwealth doesn’t count for anything in your vaunted opinion? Thanks for walking straight into that statement. Unbelievable.

I think her race and gender are irrelevant if she’s unfit to be Lt G.

Do you believe this about Kamala?

I think Harris is very well-qualified to be VPOTUS or even POTUS. I didn't vote for her because of her race or gender.

If you believe, given her performance, that she is qualified, you voted for her because of her race - feeding right into the very opaque plan of Biden who purchased your vote with her race. Because she is not, nor ever will be, qualified. Her staff has fled. Hmmm.

DP. If she was a Democrat, you'd be constantly crowing about the fact that she's black. This is why people laugh at you.

No, I wouldn't. I don't pick my candidates based on skin color. Or if they have a vagina.

BS. If you're a Democrat, that is ALL you care about. At least be honest.

I am being honest.

Did you vote for your 2A nutter because she's black or because she's a 2A nutter?

Nope. Nice try, though!

Nope what exactly?

You won't acknowledge that racism is a problem in VA?
You don't want to do anything about it?
Both?
