Rigid core curriculum is such an outdated framework. It’s the height of stupidity to force an engineering student to take two years of a useless foreign language that they will never master.

Are we talking about the same school, on Warwick Blvd? The campus is just down the street from Newport News shipyard. It's in the middle of military bases- all four branches are located in that area. It used to be, if a soldier could not get into ODU, you applied to CNU.

CNU is harder to get into than ODU. Also the immediate area around CNU is fairly typical suburban. There's a Panera and Chipotle across the street, movie theater and grocery stores nearby, a mall not too far away. The Navy bases are a bit further from campus. I worry after seeing this about crime stemming from the bases in NN, although the campus tour guide noted there are gates and security. Would love to hear from anyone with more knowledge of the school besides the pretty buildings. Is it much less diverse than JMU, they seem fairly similar.

Agreed. I don’t understand these badgers, except when it’s sour grapes because they or their kid didn’t get in. I know a fabulous young man who went to CNU and us about to graduate from a T3 law school
