Ha OP should be “allowed” to throw them away if she wants. Grownups get to decide that they don’t want junk in their house. I wouldn’t get into a fight with my husband because of it but just I can’t imagine him thinking that he should get to have treats in the house that I have a hard time not eating. He would be supportive of my health goals.

I think giving them away is better.

Actually I think just eating them is the best option but I get that not everybody is like me.

"I'm getting TOO MANY COOKIES for Christmas, and they're so darn delish, I can't stop eating them!!!!"

I am not exactly sure what counts as a "First World Problem," but I suspect this is probably one of them.

Also you should figure out how to use “calling your bluff” correctly. It doesn’t apply to a poster asking questions with no additional information than you have.
