Hmm, I actually don’t think so.
Anyway, not all Black people are dark skinned. (I’m not saying you don’t know this, PP; I’m just stating a point.) Even still, it’s quite easy to notice a person is several shades darker…whether they are dark or light skinned. Maybe white people just don’t pay attention. I notice a tan on Black people quite easily. Of course, I know a lot of Black people…so, I see more Black faces.
Y’all need to associate with more Black people.

I didn't say I don't notice tans on Black people. It is noticeable. There is no good answer to your question. If we don't tell a black person nice tan, then you assume we're not around Black people enough. If we do tell a Black person nice tan, how would that come across? Probably not very good either.
I am white and wouldn't say it to anyone. I *might* say they look rested and relaxed. I wouldn't say tan to anyone because if someone said that to me I'd feel a bit anxious about healh consequences and i don't feel the need to tell anyone that even if htey do look nice
Normal. 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️

So they didn’t know…..imagine the ignorance! Why on earth would you care?
Because it’s a really sh*tty feeling when you realize that someone doesn’t understand that you’re a human being whose skin functions just like theirs. If a person with fair skin can get a tan why on earth couldn’t a person with darker skin tan? I can almost see them thinking “Wow, she’s just like me!” Thankfully none have been ridiculous enough to say that part out loud.
And we can all get skin cancer the same, and we all have the same laser hair removal experience. We are just like each other.

I don’t understand why this would bother you. We’re all different and realistically your skin has more melanin and will react differently to sunlight. Try not to be so easily offended and if you can help educate a fellow human on our differences then we’ll done.

I think she’s saying the opposite. They DID notice, and they where stupid enough to think POC don’t tan.
