I'm 33 and didn't have a period for four months after getting my Moderna shot! Now I got it (yesterday), but it's heavier, with worse cramps, than I I remember in a long, long time. Will be interesting to see if things go back to my normal cycle after this, or what.

Not seeing where that link supports your statement.

I’d take the missing period over the heavy bleeding any day! I had heavy bleeding after my first, just got my booster this weekend and am now crossing my fingers that nothing crazy starts up.

Sadly, this is exactly the either/or scenario I’m wrestling with right now. Booster scheduled for later today, but I don’t know if I can go through with it. My ability to assess relative risks here is completely shot.

I had cycle changes after Moderna. I always have a predictable 30 day cycle that last 4-5 days. The only time it's been off has been pregnancy. After 2nd dose of vaccine I bled for 63 days, most of them very heavily.

I had pretty terrible bleeding for 5 months after my March vaccine. I’m still getting my booster. An acquaintance - healthy, slim, 30 - ended up on an ECMO machine in late 2020. She lived but she’s not the same person. She’s a shadow of her former self and it’s hard to even listen to her speak. I’m scheduled to get my booster next week and yes, prepared to bleed again.

Weirdly, I have a friend who was in the same situation and is not a shadow of his former self. So experiences differ.

This is incredibly sad and scary. But also know that there are many drs that are successfully treating covid really well. My physician has treated every one of his patients with a mix of Rxs and not one has landed in the hospital, even his elderly or diabetic patients. So we are in a better place with treatments, I would take comfort in that.

It’s better to bleed for the rest of your life than to take your chances with COvid!
