Agree, but call it Chain Bridge Road Soccer or CBRYC

Maybe 1 or 2 Max per age group. Maybe none in same age groups. Any age groups with more than 2? Good luck in competing with one ECNL level player per age group.
Not sure about the other age groups, but I think:
'06, 4 solid players left VYS for ECNL teams
Arlington - 2 (this team won the national championship last year for U15)
McLean - 2
'05, VYS has lost at least 5 05 players to ECNL teams
BRYC - 2
McLean - 2
VDA - 1
'04:
Bethesda - 1
And these were all top players at the club.
I get what you are trying to say.
I must correct a few of your comments:
1) Arlington 06 has shown themselves to be a middle of the road ECNL team.
2) Not sure what total number of VYS 06s who have moved to MYS over the years is but don’t think some of them are participating in ECNL play for VA United/MYS
3) There are 3 former 06 BRYC ECNL players on 06 VYS now so there is some movement of talent in the other direction as well. (VYS and BRYC 06 ECNL are pretty evenly matched.)
4) There may be 2 05 VYS players on 05 BRYC ECNL. There is also a former 06 VYS player on 05 BRYC ECNL.

ECNL-R? Sure why not.
But ECNL proper, no please, else drop the “E” and just call it the National Club League. It is watered down too far already. IMHO.
Anyone who buys that nonsense of eliteness by forking out the 4/5/6k that it costs please join me in my bridge-selling webinar.

It only cost $2600. We can talk tournament fees and travel, but other travel has those costs too, granted not as much traveling costs. The girls are higher quality overall, especially the top teams. It’s not even close. But, hey you believe you. Is it worth it? Probably not for many, but it is for some.
I have an ECNL player and remember thinking there was no way it was $10K but honestly by U17 you are spending that. We pay $2600 to the club and another $1400 for team fees to cover the cost of tournaments and coach travel. We travel to 3 showcases which each can cost close $1000-$1500 depending on if you fly, rent a car, 3 nights in a hotel because games are Friday, Saturday and Sunday. And then you have 2 weekends of travel for regular league games. Add Jeff Cup in and a hotel in Richmond and you have easily spent $10,000. Everyone who does ECNL knows that it costs this much.

Anonymous wrote:My kid left Vienna for a top club and team before U13 but (1) VYS taught how to play the right way and provided the background that facilitated transition, and (2) the broader point is not about credit, but whether there is sufficient critical mass of talent to support an ecnl team. They have a lot of talent for a small area of about 40k people but need alliance with BRYC, GFR and/or Annandale to support a full and competitive roster.

You're wrong - our kids play at one of these locations on top teams and developed in Vienna. Talent is talent and grandma doesn't need to play too for you to have it. Don't be stupid.
Your ignorance shining through there pal.
You are right. Only kids whose grandmas are playing soccer will develop. Big future ahead for all the descendants of those elite girls players in McLean. GTFOOH, friend-o.

It is an anonymous forum where people can speak whatever they want to. What do you expect?
Though, doth protest too much, methinks. You probably have an axe to grind with VYS or you have an associatation with another club in ECNL. Which one is it?
