It sounds to me like the grieving parents are trying to convince themselves and the world that it isn’t suicide, not because suicide is not possible or even not indicated here but because it’s sometimes easier to focus on exterior factors (solving a mystery, finding justice) than dealing with the real tragedy of a depressed, probably mis-medicated young woman. It is so, so sad. But even that diagram of the stab wounds from several pages back, which first had me convinced it was a murder, seems more like evidence for suicide. It’s super hard to stab yourself in the mid or lower back. But not that hard to reach the back of your head or base of your skull. It looks to me like she was in a frenzy.
Yeah well, how do you explain that the knife was in her right hand when she was left handed.
It’s super hard to stab yourself with your non dominant hand. PERIOD. I don’t care how mismedicated you are. Why would you use the wrong hand? That makes zero sense.
This was MURDER.
I’m the PP above. I hadn’t read that anywhere, so I don’t know whether it’s true, but I am left-handed and I do many, many things with my right hand. Most lefties do, because many things are not made to use with the left. In my case, this included chopping with a knife, cutting with scissors, batting, bowling.
I have followed this thread since its inception and always came out on the side of murder. I don’t feel that way anymore. It’s certainly possible, and murder is more interesting than suicide, but it isn’t a sure thing at all.

I agree with this. I don’t think we will ever know for sure. But I don’t think her fiancé murdered her, I think it was a very bizarre and impulsive suicide. And if he did murder her, there is just not enough proof. I don’t think there ever would be unless he confessed to someone.

For sure. Or friends/family of the new wife defending her choices.

It’s still not physically possible for her to have done it.
Especially the stab wound to the head that occurred after her heart stopped beating.
Her poor parents.
