Wrong. The middle aged divorced women I know have very active and fulfilling lives. They are world travelers, they spend time with children and grandchildren, they create wonderful art, they paint masterpieces, they design beautiful jewelry, they are active in politics, they start new businesses, they are very, very successful!

It’s amazing how many happily single women find the time to constantly post on a relationship forum how happy they are, you know, not doing relationships. As if they can’t stand the idea that someone else might succeed where they haven’t. Go be single.

This is PP. I never said I was happily single. I said the middle-aged divorced women I know are happily single!

I'm 38 and I feel this so much. My husband is absolutely my 4th child. Only, if he were my child he wouldn't have turned out to be such a pig. My MIL can be credited for that. I have no desire to sleep with or vacation with an overgrown toddler that is ego-driven and controlling.

Yeah, except the angriest responses here are the women responding to the people who posted about the good side of relationships. My guess is that it is women who want to be in a relationship but can't find anybody, and are mad at anyone who wrecks the illusion that it is all their choice.

Top of that list; the woman who typed, “without even knowing you, I can assure you I have more money than you”. Remarkable.

She did. In response to the claim all single women end up alone without family or money- let’s not rewrite history. I hardly find it abnormal to respond to a post about ones financial future with financial info.

Wow. You do not need a husband to have a family. I have always worked. No worries about running out of money. Unlike you I am sure, I have been saving for retirement since I was 21. Being in a bad marriage following my ex’s career while mine stagnated, cost me a pretty penny. Being married cost me more than staying single. But stay in the 1960s. Oh, my grandma was widowed at 50 in the late 1970s. She had to worry about running out of money. Her husband was a doctor…and she had to worry. I have no worries whatsoever. I have family (even if I did not have kids I would still have family) and I have my own money. I’m happy and fine. Worry about yourself…no need for your inaccurate assumptions about single women.

There's nothing wrong with those things if they make the person doing them happy. Why are you so bothered by it?

Except that is your interpretation, not the truth. Some post are rude on both sides but you can't just cherry pick the 'i make more money than you post".

The fact is people are angry that divorced/single/widowed women are happy. but.But. But, i'm married and I'm happier and more fulfilled and more intimate.

But see no, they aren't. Disagreeing is not anger it's just disagreeing.
