Anecdotally, I have heard of kids not wanting to do that commute to SS for another 4 years. The call of the home high school that is only 5 minutes away and with old friends from ES seems very alluring.
Does anybody who have been to TPMS but decided to forego magnet HS have any regrets?
My freshman went to TPMS and is very happy at Blair. He estimated 35-40 attending this year from the TPMS magnet.
A big number from Frost as well.
What do you mean by “Big number”? 10? 30? Why would a “big number” come from Frost?
Because, many from Frost would have been TPMS-qualified but didn't get in there due to the quotas/capacity.

Cabin John and Hoover also have about 10 kids
There's more interest from some schools than others.

If they start the lottery process for Blair, then it’d be very obvious with the college admission data and high school competition results that the county’s magnet program is ruined.

Ok. That hardly sounds like a big number but I guess it’s a decent number from one school.
