Aww man. I can't break into that nyt article either. Even incognito tab is failing me *cry*

Someone nice should copy/paste.

It's a weird article that says nothing, really.

I gather that Sam and Britney might be intellectual equals.

On some browser, there is an option to download it to pdf. Have to do it really fast before the subscription pop up thing shows up.

I wish she wouldn’t post naked pics because I just find that so trashy, but I don’t think her body is embarrassing in any way.

Her waist literally curves out instead of in, for starters.

Wow. The embarrassment of an outer-curving waist!

I urge you to imagine what it would be like to not think so toxically about body shape. Imagine if you could see curved, or even "flabby", bellies (as well as "fit, flat, etc.) and find them all truly beautiful- wouldn't that be such a relief?

She obviously isn’t embarrassed about it and likes showing off her body. That’s great.
I’m really tired of the expectation that we find everybody and everything beautiful. I don’t think she has a particularly nice physique, that’s all. My opinion is irrelevant to her, and shouldn’t matter to you. It hardly even matters to me.
What matters is her happiness and health.

Do you jump in and loudly defend every fat woman who gets mooed at on the street, or do you just get angry at random people who don’t think a famous woman has a perfect body?

I don't have any "expectation" that you (or anyone else) find everybody and everything beautiful. But if you cannot ever see beauty in a waist that curves out, then it might be worth looking more closely at why that is the case. Our society is so fat phobic and so resistant to the idea that an aging body or face could possibly be beautiful. Being able to think differently, even just a little bit, can be really beneficial.

Regarding the bolded: I wouldn't presume that fat women need me to defend them, so no, I wouldn't "jump in". But I would probably feel shaken and sad for a person who was mooed at. And I don't act as a thought policer, so do not get angry at random people who have judgments about whose body is or isn't perfect. But when they express those thoughts on a public chat board, then I might offer my perspective in response.

People are so shallow. This is the least of her problems, and fyi by most standards she is fine in that department. Her other worries are real though.

Yeah… I think you are a fool. Sorry PP.

Did everyone read the NYT article about Sam from this weekend? It was something.

Yes! Yep she has a problem. If she does get married I hope she has a strong pre-nup...and she needs to get her tubes tied. He'll use the kids to drain her like the other dead beat.

I think it’s likely that he doesn’t really love her but I also think that doesn’t necessarily mean he treats her poorly.

She's high waisted wearing very low shorts. Her body is fine, it's the fit of the clothes that's off.

No. She's not high waisted. Her torso is actually long, with short legs.
She just doesn't have any defined waist and now is gaining weight in that area.

Maybe she's pregnant!

That would require some pretty impeccable timing after the removal of her "ID".

Many people actually get pregnant right after removing their IUD

Ugh, I hope not. I'm getting Anne Nicole Smith vibes from all this
