Joe was more than that. She wouldn’t have let him be a co-writer on her work if there wasn’t something substantial there. He wasn’t willing to take the next step so she pretends he doesn’t exist.

He worked on the best albums. Makes me thinking TS can not create good albums on her own.

I really don't care about any of these men but strongly agree that her best albums came out when she was with Joe/living in London with him. No idea if he was the influence or she was secretly with Matty or what.

I don't hate this new album, there are a few "bops" if you will. But I'm not excited to listen to it start to finish in my car and a lot of the songs feel like filler, more than usual.

My favorite albums are folklore/evermore, Midnights, and Red.

He’s so repulsive, looks like a rat.
Travis is definitely better looking

I don’t think the point of this is to compare looks. Like him or not, Matty Healy inspired the best in Taylor as an artist and a person, while Travis….well.

I listen to The 1975, and it’s clear as day that she was heavily influenced by his lyrics and ideas. “Sampled” their sound on many of her songs. “Borrowed” themes and aesthetic from his stage acts and music videos. Ran with his idea about an acoustic album on Folklore etc. Most importantly, she wrote wistful, hauntingly beautiful songs about her love for Matty over the years. Compare those to “his love was the key that opened my thighs.”
If you look at this whole thread, lots of people are saying Travis is unattractive. I was just defending him

Shes the only artist in history to hold the top 12 spots on the charts. Album rocks. I loved it

She probably gave Joe credit and royalties as compensation for her high infidelity and illicit affairs (pun intended). I doubt he co-wrote and produced songs about her obsession with another man.

I think Joe has writing credits on 6 of her songs. Enough to make him a few million dollars for sure. But considering she has hundreds of songs, a blip.

She’s up to 40 album variations.

Streaming for her music on Spotify is down, much more than the usual 30-40% after the first week of a new album.

Makes sense. I listened off of the strength of her other music and will probably never listen to this album again. I can’t imagine I’m the only one because it’s so different than her more recent stuff

I used to like her music, but these voice memos she is dropping show the worst of her abilities. Good God, I just listened to another of her voice memos with video, and her singing is off key and flat. Unfortunately, this is ruining my ability to appreciate her other music, too! Maybe I will forget the horrendous nature of these voice memos and be able to return to some of my fave songs of hers one day.

But it is hard to listen to those songs now because I know they sound good due to post-production and not her...

These voice memos make me wonder why I've spent so much money on TS tickets, albums, and such. If I wanted to see someone who can't sing, I could look at myself in the mirror for free!

We all have exes. Taylor is in love now with someone different and that’s ok. She called Travis a human exclamation point, quite a compliment.
