Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Sacrifice smaller footprint on girls side to ensure boys stay in MLSN, sounds about right. I think we do have a real Futboldamous on hand. All this also support that best clubs would still prefer to be in ECNL, and with less teams, ECNL sounds like the new DA to me.
lol, we haven’t even gotten to the big news yet.

Is this a one off or a legit trend.
Just as an FYI to others, FCD won a national championship last year on the boys side and has a solid, but not great girls program.
Futballdamus doesn't float to RED states, they don't get me
Guess this means no forecasting about SLSG's deal in Missouri?

Sounds like GA material
Boys > Girls
I mean I asked the question to get some inside info if we had a true Futballdamus. The girls team would dominate GA in a bunch of age groups, but I was wondering how hard MLS was pushing the change.
Push is coming from ECNL. Not MLSN. MLSN is sitting back feet kicked up collecting apps and checks. What ECNL is doing has little to now impact on MLSN. MLSN's market demand, especially from smaller clubs now with tier 2 has them SCURRRED, forcing ECNL to play hardball with some of their oldest, best established clubs who have this sweetheart deal. Compromises are happening, so some will keep it. Can't wait for Futboldamous to check in again, PDA Blue compromise seems spot on. BSC one seems more far fetched but they will have to compromise it appears to keep the sweetheart MLSN/ECNL combo.
