The National Archives does not have any independent ability to enforce its request that former presidents and vice presidents scour their documents for classified material.
So the question is, how did the DOJ get involved? Biden had Trump’s executive privilege waived through Jonathan Su. So when Joe said that he wasn’t involved with this, he’s a liar.

He’s a doofus.

If Cannon lets Trump delay this trial, the Georgia election fraud conspiracy trial and/or the federal January 6 election fraud insurrection conspiracy trial could happen first.
I don't see how they can delay this trial much. They spent all that time with the Special Master to sort through the documents. I'm sure the Feds are ready to turn over all of the interviews and supporting evidence they collected. Trump has representation that has been involved in the documents issue since May of 2021. That's two years!
The feds want this to move fast. And that is actually the opposite of politicizing it - politicizing it would be to instead delay and drag the trial out into the timeframe leading into campaigns and primaries. They are not doing that. An example of politicizing it would be the timing in the "but her emails" chain of events. The proposed federal timelines are more than fair.
If the trial happens before the election and Trump is convicted, then what happens?
Let's see how well he can campaign from behind bars![]()
Of course, if he is acquitted he could dance around and say he was unfairly charged. If he's so sure he's innocent, he should want to get this over with so he can do that. Wonder why he's not pushing for that?
Did you read the indictment? There is no way he will be acquitted. It's not possible. Smith is an excellent prosecutor, and that indictment was very, very bad for the Cheato. (BTW, the jumpsuit will go with his skin.)
