At this point, I am wondering if I should even bother if they are going to be $200 plus per person or even if they are available.

Are there better chances for 2 tickets than 4 or 6? I'm assuming it may look for a bunch of tickets together if you're trying to buy the max and it's better to do 2? Trying to decide if we try to help out our friends or just give ourselves the best shot and only send the older (Swiftie!!!) kid with one parent...

It is trickling down about 5 spaces at a time

If the number didn’t change you are probably looking at the wrong number. There is a second number that says how many are in line ahead of you.
