I think this new taking on a partner thing is just a tactic to talk about herself more. You can’t talk about yourself as much if you’re supposed to be interviewing or introducing someone. But her and Amy? She can sit there and talk about herself and her bullshit all the time.

Okay, so I watched about ten seconds of Jen introducing Amy as her new co-host and Amy looks like one of these:
1- someone who is really uncomfortable to be there, but also doesn't want to rock the boat and lose ______. (The money? Free podcast stuff? Jen's friendship?)
2- that Saturday night live character that sings songs badly with her balding husband.
It's like someone let all of the air out of the balloon of the podcast and now we're just watching it spiral down slowly. Would someone please pop it already and be done with it?

Jen, for those of you in the back, it’s not 2016 anymore. You aren’t the bright new darling. You don’t have the book deals, the TV show, the huge following. That’s all gone. Your time has passed. Be gracious and accept it. The sooner you do the better. Deep down you know it’s true.

I think the news is that she's taking a partner. She's alluded to the fact that we'll be seeing her friend Amy more and more on the podcast and she can't wait for us to get to know Amy, who is about as exciting as my 2013 minivan. I think she's just some mom friend of Jen's.

Most exciting influencer news is not actually all that exciting so my expectations are low.

But Kristen packed it up and took a regular job when her star started to fade. Jen doesn't seem willing to do that, which is why we are watching a desperate bid to salvage the podcast and endless shilling of CBD and hair vitamins instead of just finding another way to make money. She used to be a teacher, right? I think it will only get worse if she has to keep supporting herself and her "team" and won't consider other ways to make a living.

It's uncomfortable watching women who have had their moment of internet fame unable to step down because they can't or won't. Rachel Hollis fits in this for me, too.

Old ANC here, Amy has been around forever. She's definitely granola. My only experience with her was her telling people how she dropped her diva cup in a public toilet and still used it.

This just seems like a less funny, less edgy copy of the "Ive had it" podcast.

I think Jen wanted to stay the main character, so to do that, she had to bring in someone that no one could/would start following, that would never outshine her, and that would be funny enough to serve up jokes without having any kind of potential to steal the spotlight. It doesn't make business sense but it makes sense for Jen's ego.

At least when Kristen had her podcast, she had co-hosts who could easily match or outshine her: the every-annoying "I'm not a mean girl; I'm an introvert" Sarah from Whoorl and the amazing Roo (no sarcasm) who is doing the hard work of tracking down sex offenders in Undercover Underage.

Whoever is the writer of the Jane Capstitcher Chronicles, can we have a post about how "spicy" Jane is and how she's "totally ready to go there"? It could be about anything, really, let your imagination go wild but it has to be "spicy" and willing to "go there" like a naughty little devil-tress!
