Enough violence already.
Why would they riot not? They got the verdict they wanted?
They? Who is they?

Correct. It was a sound trial, the jury delivered their verdict. There’s nothing to overturn. They will appeal but he’s done. As he should be.
Agree. Time to stop calling this country systemically racist. Pockets, yes, systemic racism? No. This is the least racist country in the world right now.
Oh my lord. Is that your takeaway? This sounds like "we have a black president, we must be post racist now." We are so screwed.
Wherever you believe there’s systemic racism today, please say where exactly.... right here.
Housing, banking, justice system, schooling, employment....
What bank? Which school? Which workplace?
If you don’t call out SPECIFIC places, no one can fix anything. So again, please share where exactly there’s “systemic” racism.
See - you are asking for pockets, not systems. The PP gave you systems.
Actually - remember when the CEO of Wells Fargo said there was a small pool of black talent which explained the company's lack of diversity? That's a perfect example of a pocket of racism in a racist system. Even if he decided they only wanted Harvard Business School graduates, there were 52 in the class that entered in 2020. Multiply that by 10. You have 520 people to choose from (yes, I am oversimplifying this). And then add in Yale. And Columbia. And on and on. So...why make that statement?

Sure. Off the cuff - Black folks get higher loan rates than whites, even when you control for financial factors, credit scores, etc. Black people are routinely given harsher sentences for similar charges, even when their criminal record a) doesn't exist or b) is "better" than a white defendant. Black people routinely have poorer health outcomes, and researchers can't really scientifically figure out why (hint - it's racism). Black children's traits are labeled negatively, while the same traits are labeled in a positive manner for White children.
Shall I go on?
