Im pregnant! I am scared to go to Spain

Not sure why everyone is so attached to one trip anyway.
This. Is. How. It. Spreads.
But unless they force people to stop traveling, those who do travel will just bring it back to the rest of us. You’ll be waiting forever if the think the entire US is just going to suddenly comply.
Because we are children and very few of us are willing to make even the smallest compromise in the name of the common good. Not traveling would help to slow it down and dissipate the effect on the health care system. Let's hope your kid doesn't break their leg or get in accident whilst all this is going on.
We need the government to step it all up. Airlines and hotels are not reimbursing people. I paid $6,000 for an apartment in Aspen to go skiing next week, I booked it through VRBO and am not going to get anything back if I cancel. Delta is also refusing to give me credit...
I don't understand where people got the idea that a pandemic was supposed to be trouble free and convenient. Jesus.

I'm not sure how to say this without sounding flip, but if they are already dying, does it matter if they catch Covid? This is absolutely one of the times where you consult with said elderly relative (if they are of sound mind). Because to them it may be worth the small risk of catching the virus to see their family one last time. Or they may prefer to hang on as long as possible, even if it means doing without visitors.
Thank you for the thoughtful response. I’m one of the ones traveling to visit a dying relative. I fully expect they’ll say we should come. But I am worried that if we give it to them accidentally, not only might they suffer more, but the rest of the family will hate us for hastening their death. But we want this chance to say goodbye and I know they do also. It’s a tough decision.

Complete quarantine until 03/25. I wonder how long before its all of Manhattan?

So people can't leave their homes or drive out of the area?
I'm a Jew so I'm going to start there. Ultra-religious Jews don't always listen to authority. Not surprised.

United, Delta, Alaskan, and American have ALL updated the policy for existing travel and BRITISH Airways is just sitting on their ass!

Are you the Ibiza poster? A week ago you were asking for tips on what to do there? Glad you changed your mind!

We canceled our trip to CR. We Don’t want to get sick in a country where we don’t know much about their health system.
Same here. Supposed to go next weekend but don’t want to get stuck if there are more restrictive travel bans in place.
That would just SUCK! Better to go and bring it back to friends and colleagues.
Given the lack of cases in the Southern Hemisphere (not surprising, since it's summer there) I'd be less concerned about catching the virus in CR than spreading it from the DMV hotspot.
Yep Latin America and Africa have been almost entirely spared. Even the single deaths have all been European tourists.
Not anymore. South Africa just hit with it

Nothing from American or JetBlue for existing reservations that were purchased more than a couple weeks ago.
American has changed their policy now.

It's not about YOU catching the virus, selfish person. More that you can pick it up on the way home in your travels and spread it.
You should try listening sometime.
