The GOP House members are not even in DC, they were given yet another week off.

Because Johnson doesn't want to vote on releasing the Epstein files

We need an RTO for the House!

Sure. We'll convince our corrupt politicians in Congress to change their salary and benefits structure to meet our wants instead of their wants.

Don’t “we the people” dictate what we are willing to pay for our non working elected officials.

"I hear the Democrats are going to be blamed and the Republicans are going to be blamed. I actually think the president would be blamed. If there is a shutdown, I think it would be a tremendously negative mark on the president of the United States. He’s the one that has to get people together!"

Trump was correct.

"Well, very simply, you have to get everybody in a room. You have to be a leader. The president has to lead."

Yep.

He probably believed this until whatever seems wrong with his brain set in. Miller and Vought do not believe this.

The Democrats did *not* vote to shut the government down. They voted *against* a CR that makes medical insurance financially unattainable for millions of Americans.

I don’t want a CR! Pass a GD appropriations bill like you are elected to do. I can’t do a half a$$ effort at my job, why should they??

Two reasons: 1) Democrats actually care about people and 2) Republicans would just blame the expiring tax credit on Biden.

Republicans have a highly effective lie, deflect and blame machine. Democrats seriously need to get much, much better at communicating.

It won't work until voters are less stupid.

They should not. Until MAGA agrees on no cuts or says they’ll stand up to the felon if he refuses to fund. Americans, including MAGA, want this by a wide majority. See the polling upthread.

When the GOP passes a clean CR, the Dems would support it. What the GOP has passed is not, in fact, a clean CR, no matter how much you want to believe what Fox is telling you.
