I went to St. Marys and that is where we had to get our uniforms for a time. I used to go to the colony shop also. Wow- that was so long ago for me.

I remember the Colony Shop. I was probably in middle school.

Thanks for answering and posting the link! There are a ton of those that I didn't know about, plus there are a lot of schools I do know about that aren't on that list! I was at Chevy Chase ES when they closed Rollingwood for low enrollment.

Tyson's Corner 2 wasn't there. It was all grass.

Thelma's in Great Falls. Thelma sold homemade ice cream and used an ancient black cash register.

Spring Hill rec center didn't exist. That was also grass.

Cars were either very small (think 80s gas savers) or very big (think 70s gas guzzlers).

Great list! I was just thinking about W. Bell the other day because I was in that area at Tysons and remembering where it used to be. My mom and I used to go there to look at sapphire and amethyst rings. Also, curling irons! Who knew there was a store where you could get both things.

Do you remember Hit or Miss? I bought almost all of my clothes there during middle school. My first bikini came from there, when I was 13. There was also a Dart Drug in the same shopping center (this was Leesburg Pike Plaza).
