Sadly, Mariah lost her voice. I wonder if she just didn't practice, and it went away. Sometimes, the illness will mess with it, too. I had a wonderful voice, and after Lyme disease, it is awful.

Mariah also is one to hate J Lo for hooking up with Tommy. At least Tommy and Mariah were already divorced by 1998. Was Tommy divorced from his first wife Alison when a starving Mariah hooked up with him in 1989?

Nope. Mariah’s cattiness no doubt is a defense mechanism to the rejection she faced in life but she’s always had a mean streak. She didn’t like Celine Dion outsinging her or Aretha during an Aretha Franklin tribute for Vh1 divas live and repeated this ad nauseum through the years including lately in her recent memoir. What’s hilarious is Aretha loved it and even requested Celine sing at her funeral /memorial in 2018 and including Ariana Grande as well but no Mariah despite what she claimed was a close friendship with Aretha. Aretha clearly preferred Celine’s professionalism.

She also had more street cred than Mariah because she’s from the Brawnx.

Mariah broke down at the first media crack she faced after Glitter.

You would never see J Lo break like that and she received far worse critical and commercial flops
