It was just created and is already up to $30,000. People recognize injustice when they see it. I also think that it is horrible that this man is currently locked up until he can make bail. This man is not a violent individual. He acted in response to an assault.

Repeatedly yelling that you are going to kill someone and don't care what happens should not mean that potential victims have to remain quiet and polite while waiting to be assaulted, raped, killed, etc.

There is nothing heroic whatsoever in the act of choking a person to death from behind. Completely empty of any sense of honor at all let alone heroism.

Yes. Self-defense or defense of others does not require that self or other be assaulted first. You do not need to be hit in the face first or have a knife or gun drawn first.
