I do not see any equivocation in this joint US/German statement.

All of the Donbass region belongs to Ukraine. All of Crimea belongs to Ukraine. NATO military support to Ukraine will continue until both regions have been de-Russified.

russia sees this clearly too. How long would it take russia to fix house given its vast oil & gas revenue if they put their effort into it? 3-6 years? Add to that nuclear capability and its possible that we’re looking at freezing & re-engagement in wider conflict in 5-6 years.
