VA just added itself to the list of the dumbing down of its schools. Youngkin will do this asap.
The religious right is taking hold and god help us all particularly women.
Most Americans don’t want porn in schools.
Ah yes, another member of the loud 30% who thinks they’re the majority. In reality, book banning - even for school libraries and Republicans everywhere are going way beyond that - is extremely unpopular among most Americans.
Most people incorrectly assume school libraries aren’t stocking sexually explicit materials.
You don't want your kid reading about life, forbid them to checkout books unless you approve.
Here's the thing. When I went to college, the WORST kids, were those that came from families that wanted to protect their innocent eyes from anything. OMG, it was scary!
Today, kids see everything on their phones. Just because you think you are protecting your little snowflakes, they can see whatever they want, whether it's on their phone or their friend's phones.
All you can do is expose your kids and talk to them about it. If you don't they will still get the info, just from places you don't want them to.
Sex is a part of life. It should be taught early.

Why do some posters here seem to want porn in schools?
I think you believe that you’re telling us some awful truth, but those of us who volunteer in our kids’ libraries and have read the books your side is banning know you’re full of sit.
Furthermore, your repeated linkage of “porn” and “schools” really tells on you.
Funny how Mr. Steele deletes the posts that shows it and school boards don't let it be read out loud.

Sex is not porn.
Porn is porn.
True. Most Americans don’t want porn in schools.
Well lucky for them, schools don't have porn in them.
How would you know what’s in every school?
I know and love many librarians. They are the best and represent the best of America. Unlike people like you who will go down in history as the 21st century version of McCarthyites and witch burners. (That means you're not going to fare well in the history books, in case that wasn't clear.)
You don’t know which books every school has.
