There is no intelligence or achievement test devised that doesn't reveal a disparity in results between these groups. Blacks make up 20% of Virginia's population. Hispanics are 10%.
Whatever new system is created better ensure that it looks like the face of Virginia.
The Virginia General Assembly does not look like the face of Virginia.
The 4th district court does not look like the face of Virginia.
The FCPS school board does not…
Langley HS does not …
So why does TJ alone need to look like the face of Virginia?
You’re not making the point you think you are. The lack of representation in all those places and organizations you mentioned is also a direct result of systemic racism and perpetuates the cycle. TJ alone doesn’t need to change; the entire freaking society needs to change.
What exactly are you saying is systemically racist? How does society need to change? Racial quotas? Living wage? Two parents in the home? School vouchers? What? What is the system you are referring to that somehow Asians aren't afflicted by?

Why can't the groups you identify compete? You are using skin color and race in a very racist manner. Please explain what you mean. Is it bad schools, bad teachers, bad parents, poverty, ... or what. What do you think the problem is that racial quotas, which are illegal, can fix?

Nobody is sorting students based on ability. They're being sorted based on scores to a test that some kids were able to buy access to in advance.

That was an interesting article but there was only one sentence in it (that students from elite boarding schools performed worse in the classroom at Harvard) was really on-topic (that the purpose of colleges including elite colleges is to be solely merit based). The rest of the article only pretended to be.

AND then there is Curie prep. From 50 students in the class of 2022 to 133 in the class of 2024. This is not “hard work”. Students said publically that they had a copy of the test.
There is a difference between copy of the test, and copy of a test, and they saw a test that Curie made based on previous questions.
